Who ate all the pies? That's the question police are asking
after a well dressed, hungry thief robbed the same Gold Coast
service station three times yesterday morning.
The thief, dressed in a black suit, made off with a solitary
pie around 2.30am (AEST) in his first visit to the Pacific
Pines service station before returning with a bottle of wine
which he used in a threatening manner while demanding
cigarettes.
Soon after, the man, described as Caucasian and aged in his
early-20s, returned for a third time with the wine bottle,
which had been smashed.
Brandishing the broken bottle he demanded several more pies,
cash and cigarettes.
The attendant handed over several pies but refused to give
the man any cash and he ran off.
Police are asking anyone with information on the thief to
call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
