A woman who went outside to investigate rocks being thrown at
her regional NSW home then had a chemical thrown at her,
police say.
Shortly before 9.45pm last night, the 34-year-old woman was
at home in Wagga Wagga when she heard rocks being thrown at
her house.
The woman's partner went outside and saw a woman and child
running away.
A short time later the woman went outside, where she was
confronted by a woman known to her, carrying a bottle, police
say.
The woman threw the bottle at the victim before running away.
The bottle broke and some of the liquid splashed onto the
woman's face, causing a burning sensation.
She remains in Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for observation.
Police believe the liquid could be chlorine, but say
investigations are continuing.
