Australian woman's death in Bali 'suspicious'

Indonesian police will continue their investigations into the mysterious death of a Queensland woman who was working in the Indonesian tourist hotspot of Bali.

Denni North, 33, who worked as a hostess at the Cocoon Beach Club in Seminyak, is said to have been found face down in a pool at a private villa on December 30.

Police are reportedly treating her death as suspicious.

Ms North, from Deception Bay north of Brisbane, was a frequent customer at the beach club and was later offered a job there.

Her employers have taken to Facebook to express their grief, describing her as a "vivacious and beautiful" woman.

Her mother Wendy has also paid tribute to her daughter on the social networking site.

"She touched so many people with her magnificent personality," she wrote.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is assisting Ms North's family in Australia, a spokesman says.
