76 arrested in Queensland drug busts

Police have arrested 76 people in a major operation which has disrupted two groups trafficking drugs in Queensland.

More than 80 police were involved in raids at Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, Logan, south of Brisbane, and at Roma in western Queensland.

Police have charged 76 alleged offenders with 283 offences.

It will be alleged they were trafficking in speed, ecstasy, cocaine, and cannabis.

A police spokesman said the raids would have a significant impact on the distribution and supply of drugs at Fortitude Valley nightclubs.
