Hundreds of police officers have reportedly arrested
high-ranking Comancheros and Hells Angels bikies following
dawn raids in Sydney.
A NSW Police spokesman confirmed multiple police operations
were underway on Tuesday morning but could not confirm a
media report that 400 officers, including heavily armed teams
from the Tactical Operations Unit, were involved in raids on
properties in western Sydney, Sydney CBD and Wollongong.
News Limited reports that 29 people have been arrested,
including the President of the Comancheros and the Vice
President of the Hells Angels Merrylands chapter.
The operation, codenamed Strike Force Alistair, follows a
21-month investigation by State Crime Command detectives and
the NSW Crime Commission.
