A man died shortly after being arrested for creating a
disturbance at a polling booth in Brisbane's south.
The 49-year-old died late Saturday morning after police had
moved him on at Upper Mount Gravatt, in the Liberal-held seat
Queensland Police say the man collapsed about 40 minutes
after two officers arrested him at Upper Mount Gravatt State
He had been escorted outside, issued with a notice to appear
for public nuisance and released from custody.
The local resident collapsed at a nearby intersection and
died at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A coronial report is being prepared, while the Crime and
Misconduct Commission will oversee an internal police
