A man accused of assaulting three men in an apparently
unprovoked attack at a Parramatta shopping centre has been
Nuku Mohi, 23, is alleged to have punched and kicked his
first victim, a 26-year-old man sitting in the centre's food
He's then accused of hitting a 61-year-old man in the head,
knocking him out, and assaulting a 21-year-old security
guard, who tried to restrain him.
All three victims had to be hospitalised.
Police later charged Mohi with one count of assault, two
counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of
On Wednesday, Mohi made a brief appearance at Parramatta
Local Court where his legal aid lawyer didn't apply for bail
on his client's behalf, and it was formally refused by
Magistrate Joan Baptie.
Mohi's lawyer at one point flagged a possible bail
application, but instead sought an adjournment to "allow
additional legal advice to be provided".
Mohi appeared in the dock and showed little emotion in the
Court documents show all three assaults allegedly occurred
between 12.43pm and 12.49pm (local time).
