Champagne, vodka, scotch, rum, wine and pre-mixers was among
$700,000 worth of alcohol stolen from a Sydney distribution
centre over six months last year.
Detectives investigating the theft are appealing for public
help to find the thieves.
They say large volumes of alcohol were stolen from the
product distribution centre in Eastern Creek, in Sydney's
"Detectives believe the thefts were carried out on 13
separate dates between July and December, with the thieves
transporting the stolen liquor from the distribution centre
in a large truck," police said in a statement.
Police from the State Crime Command's Property Crime Squad
have formed Strike Force Glenlee to investigate the thefts,
targeting businesses that may have received the stolen
Investigators believe the stolen alcohol may have been
transported to businesses around the Lurnea area.
