Man to be extradited over Victoria garden death

A man arrested on the NSW south coast and wanted over the sexual assault and death of a woman in Melbourne will be extradited to Victoria.

Victorian detectives have applied successfully to the Batemans Bay Local Court to extradite 42-year-old Scott Allen Miller.

Miller is a suspect in the death of a 32-year-old Chinese woman whose naked body was found in Melbourne's Kings Domain on Saturday.

Although she is still to be formally identified, police believe she was a hospitality employee and was on her way to work on Saturday morning when she was attacked.

Miller was arrested near Eden, on the NSW far south coast, on Monday afternoon.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed that detectives will bring Miller to Melbourne for questioning but declined to say when for security reasons.
