Rain expected to ease in NSW

If you live on the NSW coast, don't put away your raincoat just yet.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is predicting another day of rain, but it's not expected to be as bad as the bucketing the state received since Monday.

The BoM is predicting cloudy conditions today with the wet weather expected to ease with showers in the morning and early afternoon.

The poor weather - which started on Australia Day - caused flash flooding and affected hundreds of homes on the NSW mid-north coast yesterday, with emergency services receiving more than 300 calls for assistance.

The showers are predicted to continue until Tuesday next week, except for a mostly sunny day forecast for Saturday.
