A Queensland woman has been rushed to hospital after becoming impaled on a steel bracket.
The 50-year-old fell at a private residence in Palm Cove, north of Cairns, just before 2.30pm yesterday and was taken to Cairns Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The bracket had passed through her head behind the ear and emerged at the jaw, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman told AAP.
