Man dragged from tent by crocodile

A man has reportedly survived being attacked and dragged out of his tent by a crocodile in the Northern Territory.

The 19-year-old was camping with family in the territory's Douglas Daly region when the attack happened about 4.30am on Monday (local time), the ABC reports.

The NT Department of Health told to AAP a man is being treated with antibiotics in Katherine Hospital but would not say how he received his injuries.

The man was able to fight off the crocodile - believed to be a 4m saltwater - when it latched on to his right foot, reports say.

He was left with puncture marks on his foot, NT News reports.
