A teenage girl has been impaled by a wrought-iron fence after falling three storeys off a balcony in Melbourne.
An ambulance spokesman said the girl fell off the balcony in a northern suburb this morning and hit a wrought-iron fence, which pierced her abdomen and snapped off.
She was taken to hospital in a serious condition with the piece of fence still inside her and injuries to her pelvis.
