We have an area here in Dunedin called Pilots Beach where you
can view many seals. One nature trip I was guiding had two
girls from Holland on board saw these seals,
"can we go swimming here?"
"Yes it's a popular swimming beach"
I replied before I could say any more, they stripped of naked
and when swimming with the seals much to the delight of the
male passengers.
This area is now closed off to vehicle access because of the
larger number of little Blue Penguins breading here. Whoever
said driving a tourist van was not interesting! "Back To
Nature Tours" had a whole new meaning believe me!
