'Preggy bed' makes physio easier for Wakatipu mums-to-be

Remarkable Physios are promising to bring comfort and relaxation to the pregnant women of the Wakatipu. Managing Director Melissa Davidson says: “We are committed to this district and to doing our bit to make life in the Wakatipu more family-friendly starting with mums-to-be.” Remarkable Physios have modified one of their physio beds to fit pregnant women lying on their tummies. The bed has two cutouts to accommodate different sized preggy bulges allowing a mum-to-be to lie on her front with no pressure on her baby. The result? – a feeling of security and relaxation. Davidson says: “The ‘Preggy Bed’ allows us to effectively treat women in various positions and ensures that the woman feels comfortable and safe. We can also give massages while the woman completely relaxes – sometimes they fall asleep too.” “We are getting excellent feedback from the ladies who have used the ‘Preggy Bed’. They report that is wonderful to use and feels fantastic, especially being able to lie flat on their front which many woman miss while pregnant.” Remarkable Physios are so pleased with the “Preggy Bed” that they want everyone to hear about it and come and experience it for themselves. For the next 12 months Remarkable Physios are offering one free 30 minute massage to every pregnant woman in the Wakatipu upon proof of pregnancy and residency.
