Recently the Southern DC-3 flew a Heartland tour around the
South Island, and now her northern 'sister ship', based at
the historical Ardmore airfield in South Auckland, will also
be flying into Warbirds over Wanaka.
The 'Fly Dakota-NZ' will travel from the North Island to
Wanaka on the 1st April, however, in a 'first' for the
locals, will then transfer to be based at Queenstown.
While the Southern DC-3 provides flights to and from
Christchurch each day, the Northern DC-3 will provide $90
return flights from Queenstown each 'Air show' morning over
the Crown range to meet up in Wanaka.
The return flights will be after the end of the airshow.
Bookings are essential for the Queenstown/Wanaka flights.
