A car left the Dunedin-Port Chalmers road between Roseneath and Port Chalmers, probably overnight on Friday/Saturday, ending up on the bicycle track.

Great Western Steeplechase in Riverton

The field in the great Western steeplechase take a jump in the back straight at Riverton during the weekend. The winner, Lautenschlager, is now the previous winner of a Riverton Cup, Great Western Hurdles and steeplechase. A rear feat.
Lautenschlager is the horse following the leader on the inside of No 1, Logan James.

I absolutely agree with this. I made a 25 page submission to the ORC last year, saying why the bus timetable was so hard to understand and how to improve it. (I like recreational maths and this is an interesting problem.) Response from the ORC? Zero.
