On my last trip to my home town I was very disappointed to
find the change that has taken place over time with
the interior of the station. As a youngster I can
remember the large compass tiled floor at the entrance and
all the brass railings, to me the present looks nothing like
the original, I'm sure the visitors would have been even more
impressed if they could have seen the station in all its
previous glory.
