So Mr Davies is negotiating with wrestling promoters over
possible use of the stadium.
I'd be fascinated to know what sort of revenue this could
produce.
If it brings in around $500 million in the USA as reported,
that translates to around $5 million in NZ and maybe around
$400,000 in Dunedin.
But that's turnover - not stadium profit. The figures are
peanuts to a $200 million stadium.
I hope he can come up with something a whole lot better than
this suggestion. Anyway, surely the Edgar centre would be a
far more appropriate venue for wrestling.
