Dunedin resident Lynnette Scott called her son as soon as she heard her entry had been picked from 700 others in the draw for the Highlanders jersey giveaway.
She told her son, Sam Thompson (11), that with the new 2013 Highlanders jersey were four new Highlanders scarfs and a family pass to watch the Highlanders play rugby.
''For which game,'' Sam replied.
''For all of them,'' she said about the season tickets for two adults and two children.
The new jersey design included the franchise districts and was much better-looking than the green Highlanders jersey, she said.
Both her children were avid touch rugby players and enjoyed passing a rugby ball around with Highlanders prop Chris King after he presented the prize.
