Toast Bar owner Jamie Hughes and Quick Brown Fox owner Arjun Haszard savour their cocktail collaboration, inspired by Dunedin, at the Insiders Dunedin website relaunch in the Dunedin Community Gallery last night.
The yet-to-be-named ''official Dunedin cocktail'' incorporated Quick Brown Fox coffee liquor icecream, Galliano Amaretto and a salted chocolate sprinkle, Mr Haszard said. Each element, including the shape of the glass, reflected an element of Dunedin.
About 100 people attended the function and were asked to suggest names for the cocktail. Tourism Dunedin staged last night's event to reinvigorate the Insiders Dunedin website, which marketed the city through the use of residents' testimonials, photographs and tips for visitors.
It was part of the Dunedin City Council's $500,000 Brand Dunedin campaign, launched in 2010.
