Aoraki Polytechnic will be disestablished at the end of this year following confirmation that its operation outside Dunedin will be merged with Christchurch's CPIT.
The announcement would see the creation of a new organisation, for now called CPIT Aoraki, which would begin operating from January 1.
It comes weeks after it was confirmed that Aoraki's Dunedin-based courses would merge with Otago Polytechnic, also from next year.
