The death of a 38-year-old Cromwell man has been referred to
the coroner, after a search team found his body near a
Luggate quarry yesterday afternoon.
Senior Sergeant Allan Grindell said the man had been reported
missing about 11.30am yesterday.
A search team of jet-boat operators, Wanaka LandSar
volunteers and police concentrated on land and river
downstream from the Clutha River red bridge.
The death was not considered suspicious, Snr Sgt Grindell
said.
