E-Central ICT Cluster Photography Competition winners
Wakatipu High School pupil Catlin Jack (16), Dunstan High
School pupil Nadine Ward (16), and Remarkables Primary School
pupils Natayla Emanuel (9) and Isabella Weston-Cooke (6),
presented their winning photographs at the exhibition at the
Wooing Tree, in Cromwell, on Tuesday.
The photos by the Wakatipu pupils were voted the best out of
545 entries from schools throughout Central Otago and they
won four out of the five categories. Millers Flat School
pupil Melissa Bain won the open category.
Each winner received a canvas and a session with professional
photographer Jacqui van Dam, of Alexandra.
The winners of the five categories were displayed on the
e-Central wiki for a public vote. A total of 896 votes were
cast and the winning photo, with 212 votes, was Catlin's,
with Isabella only one vote behind. In third place with 201
votes was Nadine. Catlin received a Nikon DSLR camera,
sponsored by Nikon NZ and Noel Leemings in Remarkables Park
Town Centre, worth over $1500. Runners-up will receive gift
vouchers. Canvases were sponsored by Cromwell businesses
BP2GO, Henry Fluksa Builders, Computer Dux and Fusee Rouge.
