The body of a Roxburgh woman reported missing today has been
found in the Clutha River near the Central Otago township.
The 83-year-old woman was reported missing by a neighbour at
noon today, police said, and her body found shortly before
3pm.
Friends and neighbours helped in the search, which focused on
the river and the area near the woman's Tweed St home.
Police expect to release the name of the woman, who was last
sighted at 5pm yesterday, later today.
The matter has been referred to the coroner.
