Crash victim remains in hospital

A Timaru woman is still in hospital 10 days after being injured in a Lindis Pass crash in which two motorcyclists died.

The 27-year-old woman is progressing favourably in an orthopaedic ward, a hospital spokeswoman said.

She had been a pillion passenger and was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital following the crash.

The driver of a vehicle involved in the collision, a 20-year-old Chinese tourist, has been charged with careless driving causing the death of Grant John Roberts (43), of Timaru, and Dennis Michael Pederson (54), of Tauranga.

She will reappear in the Alexandra District Court later this month
