Police searching for the missing swimmer in the Cromwell area have found a body in the water.
The body was sighted near the area in which the swimmer was last seen.
Police are satisfied that this is the body of the missing swimmer.
The police national dive squad has been sent to the area to assist with recovering the body due to the depth of the water.
The missing swimmer was a 26-year-old woman who was foreign national but lived locally.
Police and victim support are with members of her family and are working to advise next of kin.
The matter will be referred to the coroner.
