A $43,000 cheque was presented to the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust last month by the Maniototo's Got Talent committee.
The donation followed a successful talent show in Ranfurly last November.
The helicopter trust relies on funding from the Government and donations to support the costs of helicopter lease, as well as maintaining a staff of pilots, paramedics and support crew.
Trust manager Ken Franklin said the money would go towards converting helicopters to carry baby incubators for emergency situations.
