A driver has walked away apparently unscathed after his car rolled following a collision with a ute and a stock truck in Central Otago this morning.

The three-vehicle crash happened at Shingle Creek, between Roxburgh and Alexandra, about 8.40am.

A ute overtaking the truck in the passing lane was hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction which had drifted into the lane, Constable Lance Davies said.

This car collided with the ute and the truck and rolled but the driver did not appear to have been badly hurt.

The truck driver was being treated by ambulance staff at the scene.
