The former Waikouaiti Shell station closed on August 19 after a delivery truck hit the canopy.
Maurice Greer, owner of the station site, said yesterday the State Highway 1 outlet would be a 24-hour fuel service.
It would be on the same site as the previous service station and it is hoped it will open by next month.
Sales would be by credit card only, with no cash sales.
The opening date and operator's name would be announced later.
