The Waitaki Tourism Association is delighted with the Waitaki District Council's decision to approve the installation of a sign at Oamaru's northern entrance.
It will be similar to the large sign erected about 10 years ago at the southern entrance, which has a column emerging from blocks of Oamaru stone.
"After working closely with the Waitaki District Council and the Waitaki Development Board, we are very happy that all the hard work has paid off," chairwoman Sue Berry said.
