Relay for Life is coming to Oamaru. The 24-hour Cancer
Society fundraiser will be held at Whitestone Contracting
Stadium on March 12 and 13 next year.
Similar events were held throughout New Zealand and it was a
time to celebrate, remember and "fight back" by raising funds
for the society, event manager Janie Peck said.
Money raised would be spent on support services, health
promotion services and resources to benefit North Otago, and
to fund cancer research.
Matt Haywood is team captain co-ordinator and event
administrator.
The organising committee will be chaired by Eric Spittal.
Registrations will open at the launch of the event, in Oamaru
on September 22 and Kurow on September 23.
