Brochures for next month's Oamaru Victorian heritage celebrations are hurriedly being reprinted after 20,000 copies were lost in a truck fire this week.
A Mainfreight truck-and-trailer unit caught fire near Christchurch on Monday night and all the programmes, which were being sent to Christchurch for collation, were destroyed.
Staff at Brackens Print in Oamaru are reprinting the brochures.
The incident was hugely disappointing, celebrations co-ordinator Irene Sparks said.
The celebrations will be held from November 17 to 21 and will reprise last year's sporting theme.
