Tickets have been selling strongly for the festival at the Oamaru Public Gardens. Organisers have sold almost all the 2000 pre-sale tickets, with a limit of 3000 allowed at the festival.
Hollie Smith, who has opened for acts including Bob Dylan, Coldplay and Simply Red, is the headline act. Other entertainment includes the 18-piece Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra and several other bands.
Ms Sutherland said there would be 51 stalls, including 13 run by wineries, with a good mix of food and beverages.
Alcohol could not be brought into the grounds, as it was a licensed premises, and glass was also banned. Recyclable polymer glasses would be available for sale.
Bevan Smith, from Riverstone Kitchen, Michael Coughlin, from St Clair Beach Resort, and Aoraki Polytechnic-trained Steve Le Corre will give cooking demonstrations.
Gates open at 11am and the festival finishes at 6.30pm.
