Macraes-Moonlight School is calling on horse enthusiasts to help send all its pupils to Wellington.
On Saturday, a horse trek will leave Redbank Station at 9.30am for a ride of about six hours.
Riders can register from 8.15am until 9.15am and a barbecue will follow the event.
The school community was excited about the trip to Wellington, which was a big undertaking, principal John Fisher said.
The roll was 10, but there were more new entrants starting later this year, so the number of children on the trip could reach 15.
