A female jockey is in a critical condition at Dunedin Hospital following an incident at the Kurow races this afternoon.
The woman was taken to hospital in the Otago Regional Rescue Helicopter with serious head injuries.
It was believed she was injured while racing, and that no others were seriously hurt.
Further details about the incident had yet to be confirmed.
