Thieves have targeted the Tokarahi Golf Club, taking a 200-litre drum of fuel and a mower battery.
An Oamaru police spokeswoman said it appeared offenders had driven a mower out of a storage shed, before stealing its battery.
They had rolled the drum of fuel, which could be worth up to $400, about 75m to the roadside.
The thefts were reported on Thursday, but could have occurred any time between August 16 and 20.
Anyone who saw suspicious behaviour near the Tokarahi Golf Club between August 16 and 20 is asked to contact Oamaru police on (03) 433-1400.
