he Oamaru Coastal Defence group fires two 25-pound World War 2 guns to mark the end of the main Oamaru Anzac celebrations on Saturday.

Usually, only one gun owned by the group is fired, but to mark the centenary of the Gallipoli landings by Australia and New Zealand forces, a second one owned by group member Neil Paisley was used.

Each gun was to fire three shots, but in the end four were fired.

The guns were also part of the Anzac parade and wreath-laying in Thames St on Saturday morning, towed by two former army trucks.
