Three face drug charges after raid

Three people were arrested after police executed a search warrant at an Oamaru address on Saturday morning, officers seizing 7g of class A controlled drug methamphetamine and some cash.

Sergeant Blair Wilkinson said a 31 year old Oamaru man was arrested and charged with supplying class A controlled drug methamphetamine, between January 18 and August 29 this year, supplying methamphetamine, on August 29 and having possession of methamphetamine for purpose of supply, at Oamaru, on August 29.

He was granted interim name suppression yesterday and was remanded in custody by consent. He is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court today.

A 23 year old Oamaru man was charged with possession of class A controlled drug methamphetamine and a 29 year old Oamaru woman was charged with allowing a premises to be used for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They will both appear in the Oamaru District Court on September 9.
