Nominations are open for the 2015 Network Waitaki Sports Awards.
North Otago sports bodies and Sport Waitaki are encouraging all sports organisations and schools to nominate athletes, coaches and administrators.
Sport Waitaki co-ordinator Kate Holland said athletes and sports teams had celebrated some ''outstanding'' successes in 2015 and she hoped to see a large number of nominations for this year's awards. Categories for the 2015 awards are: Emerging talent (year 8 in 2015), Junior Sportswoman of the Year (18 and under at January 1, 2015), Junior Sportsman of the Year (18 and under at January 1, 2015), Athlete with Disability, Sportsperson of the Year, Masters Sportsperson of the Year (50 and over at January 1, 2015), Coach of the Year, Team of the Year and Services to Sport Award (for lifetime service to sport).

Nominations close at 5pm on December 18 and the awards evening will be held at the Oamaru Opera House on March 7.
