The Upper Clutha Tracks Trust is seeking an "aha" cycle track idea to which it can turn its fundraising and planning attention.
The trust met recently to discuss a variety of possibilities for new tracks, without coming to a firm conclusion.
Chairman Tim Dennis told the Otago Daily Times he had been hoping for an "aha moment" but working out which project might proceed next was not particularly easy. He hoped a decision might be reached next month and in the meantime the trust was open to ideas from the public.
Two of its projects were due to be completed before summer. A 10km track would run along the Clutha River from a new car park near the Red Bridge on the Tarras Luggate road to the swing bridge on the Hawea River track.
And the Luggate Creek track would be extended 3km to the Luggate boulder.
