Police are advising motortists using State Highway 8 between Waitahuna and Lawrence of delays after a truck and trailer unit wound up in a ditch earlier today.
The incident involving the Mainfreight vehicle happened about 9.15am.
Senior Sergeant Craig Brown, of the Southern District Communications Centre, said the driver managed to get out of the cab and received only "superficial injuries''.
The road remained open, but it is likely there would be disruptions for motorists while the truck was removed later in the day, Snr Sgt Brown said.
There was no information about how it left the road.
Subaru recovered
A blue Subaru Legacy was stolen from a central Dunedin property overnight on Monday.
Senior Sergeant Liz Waru said the vehicle was locked and taken from inside a locked garage in Queen St.
It was recovered in a park a few hours later.
