Mr Anton took Clutha Health First's ''current position'' in contract negotiations with the embattled Southern District Health Board to a board meeting for approval on Wednesday night.
Yesterday, he confirmed an announcement would be made next Tuesday, but declined to confirm whether that meant a contract had been signed.
He said the health company chairman, Brian Dodds, preferred to wait to make the announcement at the planned public session.
On Monday, Mr Anton said the trust had reached a ''high level of agreement in terms of where our contract could be for the next period'' with the SDHB, but also said the possibility raised that day of a commissioner taking over the board had confused the issue and added ''a dynamic to that discussion''.
Clutha Health First presented a counter offer to the SDHB after its initial proposal of a 5% reduction in funding for its next contract.
A SDHB spokesman did not respond to questions yesterday.
The Clutha Health First community session, a semiregular event, is 12pm at the St John headquarters in Balclutha.
