Balclutha Rotary Club event co-ordinator Tania Lowery with South Otago High School pupils Kayleigh Wright and Charlotte Ellis were at Monday's opening of the club's annual community book sale in Balclutha.
This year, money raised will go to St John, the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust, Clutha Land Search and Rescue and the Kaka Point Surf Life Saving Club. More than 10,000 books are on offer.
The Rotary club and Inner Wheel book sale runs until Saturday and is open each day from 10am until 6pm.
