A grammatical error in a sign informing the public about the sealing of the road leading to Nugget Point will not be corrected.
When the Otago Daily Times visited the area at the beginning of the sealing project, it was noted there was a grammatical error in the sign, which should read "may be'' as two words rather than one.
However, when this was pointed out to the Clutha District Council, it said it would not be fixing the error and the sign would remain as it was.
The first phase of the sealing project is to be completed over winter, and the second phase is expected to occur in summer and be finished by March next year.
An eagle-eyed ODT sub-editor also noticed the sign has the road's official name wrong - it is The Nuggets Rd.
