Police have released the name of an Owaka man who died on Friday after a loader rolled on top of him.
He was Trevor John Mitchell (48).
Mr Mitchell and another man had been moving firewood on a farm in the Catlins.
An Otago Regional Rescue Helicopter with St John paramedics on board was sent to Maitland Rd, southwest of Owaka, not far from Purakaunui Falls.
Mr Mitchell died on the way to Dunedin Hospital.
