The American man charged over the two-vehicle collision near
Te Anau on Thursday which injured six people was fined and
disqualified from driving when he appeared in the
Invercargill District Court yesterday.
Scott Allen Sherrill-Mix (31) pleaded guilty to three charges
of careless driving causing injury on the Te Anau-Milford
highway.
His Nissan collided with a campervan at the Duncans Rd
intersection near Te Anau. Two passengers were flown by
helicopter to Southland Hospital with serious injuries. They
have since been discharged.
Sherrill-Mix was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for
six months.
