A driver sparked a police pursuit in Invercargill late on
Wednesday.
Senior Sergeant Maggie Windle said the driver failed to stop
for a marked patrol car on Queens Dr shortly before midnight.
The male driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into
a tree.
He and his female passenger were admitted to Southland
Hospital, and later discharged with minor injuries.
The 19-year-old appeared in Invercargill District Court
yesterday, charged with failing to stop for police,
disqualified driving, and breach of bail.
