A police dog and handler tracked three men who allegedly set
fire to a stolen car near Winton yesterday, Invercargill
police said.
Senior Sergeant Maggie Windle, of Invercargill, said a stolen
Isuzu station wagon was seen on fire in a gravel pit 8km
north of Winton yesterday morning.
A police dog and handler tracked for ''a good hour, through
rivers and muddy, bushy area'' to find three men who had
allegedly set fire to the car, which had been stolen from
Invercargill, she said.
