A 53-year-old Invercargill man died this morning when a grader crashed at Lumsden.
Emergency services were sent to the incident on Ellis Rd about 11.55am, a police spokesman said.
No other vehicles were involved and the cause of the crash had not been confirmed, police said.
The Serious Crash Unit and members of WorkSafe New Zealand attended the scene, and investigations are ongoing.
The death has been reported to the coroner.
